At First American, all residential appraisals are reviewed for compliance with FNMA/FHLMC underwriting requirements, Title X-FIRREA, the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice, and specific client requirements by Charles Mutrux, MAI. First American’s residential staff is highly qualified with many years of experience. All are dedicated to providing the fastest possible service meeting the highest standards. Appraisers are certified and are FHA/VA approved. Since the early 1980’s, Charles Mutrux has specialized in the completion of the more difficult, jumbo and large custom home appraisals. The database and experience gained over the years by completing these type of assignments allows for greater accuracy in the appraisal process. Borrowers are contacted within 24 hours of receiving the order to set up an inspection appointment. Clients are updated with status regarding appointment times, delays or problems. Normal turn around time is 24 to 48 hours after inspection. Our goal is to deliver a quality report in a timely manner at a reasonable price.
